Χάρη στο κύκλωμα BestPentode που αναπτύχθηκε πρόσφατα (από τον Dipl.-Ing. Frank Blöhbaum), ο τρέχων θόρυβος διανομής ισχύος που είναι χαρακτηριστικός των πεντόδων δεν αποτελεί πλέον πρόβλημα.

SA-T7 Stereo tube preamp

Conventional, classical circuit techniques do not exploit the potential of a tube. With the SA-T7 we have developed a preamplifier, which raises the unadulterated amplification of valuable music signals to a level previously thought unthinkable with tubes. Thanks to the newly developed BestPentode circuit (by Dipl.-Ing. Frank Blöhbaum), the current power distribution noise typical of pentodes is no longer an issue.

Modern signal sources place entirely new demands on the transmission quality of the amplifiers. With conventional (classical) circuit technology and ECC81 / 82/83/88 the potential of tube technology is not exhausted.

Such BestPentode stage has a much higher gain with lower noise than comparable triodes. The precious grille pentodes of the type E180F / 6SCH9P / 6SCH51P used in the SA-T7 can thus exploit their full potential. These tubes are NOS (New Old Stock) tubes, factory-fresh from old stock whose original purpose was to amplify high-frequency signals in 24/7 telecom applications.

The impedance converter stage is realized with a type 6S3P-EV grille triode – a Russian military tube, originally used in the MIG on-board radar and also in LongLife design. For the outstanding purity of the music transmission, the low-noise current source coupling of the BestPentode stage, for which a separate module was developed under the name Vimala – Vimala means in Sanskrit “pure, transparent, clear”.

For the possibility of adapting to individual listening habits, another gain block with 6SCH9P, 6S3P-EV and Vimala module takes care of the precision control of highs and lows, of course, if necessary switched off. Thanks to the extremely low output resistance of the new amplifier technology – typically less than 1 ohm – the amplifier outputs could be realized with purely resistive behavior. This ensures uniform transmission over the entire frequency range and the problem-free control of even critical connection cables. Two different output resistances are available for the practical connection: 50 ohms and 600 ohms.

The first-of-its-kind BestPentode circuit technology combined with sophisticated Vimala power source coupling uniquely combines high linear gain with minimal noise and superior speed for the best possible music enjoyment.
